Stephanie Kay Literature

SkyLiterature is a literary imprint dedicated to sacred growth, mental health, and personal reclamation through story.

The brilliance of a well-written memoir lies in its ability to intimately share the existential journey of a personal life. Even when we feel lost in the dark, or find ourselves bobbing for air, creative narratives help us trace the threads we hold back to who we innately are. In fragments, journals, zines, blogs, spoken word and novels – many a soulful part, lost along the way, can be found waiting in the wilderness. Such stories offer a wild kind of medicine. Re-member-ing is healing. By daring to look back, you are wisely informed how to walk forward in light and inner peace.
Your story matters.
Lean in.

Early on

As a young girl, I designed my own secret alphabet and won my first poetry prize when I was 7 years old. The library was my candyland. I won books in spelling bees and learned to speak and read in public and eventually from the stage. Drawing from decades of personal development, trauma-informed psychotherapy and creative writing, learning the art of story has kept me tapped to source, alive and well.

I hold a Certificate of Excellence in both Screenwriting and Philosophy of Story from Truby Studios in Los Angeles, USA.

Through it all, I remain forever the mystic, finding solace by embracing that which has been shattered in the deep. Decades of immersion in comparative religious scripture and shamanic traditions are woven into my personal recovery practise. That includes a recent committed writer’s streak of 1001 days of journalling, 800hrs of Kundalini Yoga and 880days of Arabic, yup. Coming soon:

Author Portfolio

Current

Raised in USA and Switzerland, I have bridged languages and cultures professionally for over thirty years. I am a national award-winning Swiss science journalist (1984) and former marketing and public relations communications expert. I am also a lived experience mental health peer with an MSc. in Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion (2015).

I have self-published two memoirs in German: “Der Tempel der Liebenden” (The Temple of the Lovers), 2010, and “S&M – Schlangenkraft und Mondmagie” (Snake power and Moon Magick), 2012, with Novum Verlag, Vienna, under the pen name Stephanie Kay.

To create a scaffolding out of a life off-the-rails, my transgenerational memoir “Pink IceScream – Letters Never Sent and the Voices Within”, in English, has been written to unfold like a movie from the ground up. After years of writer’s training, I am currently seeking a dedicated publishing agent with connections to book-to-film rights.

Chapeau!”

Sandro Küng, Küng-Consulting, CH.

“Pink IceScream is not an easy or casual read…diving down to some very deep places; it’s a very brave account. I derived both pleasure and mental stimulation from Pink IceScream …it was rewarding and insightful.“

“I’m pretty blown away by your story. It’s beautifully written: it’s well paced, you have a tight hold on the narrative ebb and flow and your writing style shines. Your voice comes through so well. I have pretty much nothing but praise. I’m gripped!”
